PAUL MULLIN, MD

Dr. Paul Mullin is a fellowship-trained neurologist specializing in epilepsy, seizure disorders, and clinical neurophysiology. He serves The Neurology Institute in Broward County, where his practice focuses on the diagnosis and management of epilepsy and other complex seizure disorders, including the evaluation and treatment of patients with medically refractory epilepsy.


Dr. Mullin completed two fellowships in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology, at the Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Epilepsy Center and at UCLA Medical Center under Dr. Jerome Engel, Jr. He trained in neurology at UCLA Center for the Health Sciences, earned his medical degree from Georgetown University, and graduated summa cum laude and first in his class from Villanova University. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, with active Maintenance of Certification.


Over the course of his career, Dr. Mullin has held numerous academic and leadership positions, including Director of the Weill Cornell Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Associate Chairman of Neurology and Residency Program Director at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center, and Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He has held faculty appointments at Weill Cornell, Columbia, New York Medical College, and UCLA Schools of Medicine.


A dedicated clinical investigator, Dr. Mullin has served as Principal Investigator on numerous epilepsy clinical trials and has authored a substantial body of peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Epilepsy Society, and the National Association of Epilepsy Centers, and has been recognized as a Castle Connolly America’s Top Doctor and a Hudson Valley Magazine Top Doctor.
